The payment that shareholders were going to receive if the vote passed comprised: Australian dollar Scheme Consideration of $6.20; •United States dollar Scheme Consideration of US$1.86 (equivalent to A$2.81 applyingAUDUSD of 0.663 as at 29 November 2023; and •A special dividend of 39 cents (Special Dividend) Thefranking credits attached to the Special Dividend are approximately 16.7 cents per share.
The scheme failed to pass so the "special dividend" has been cancelled. Origin will now have to decided what percentage of profits they will return to shareholders via dividends and what share of profits to re-invest in the company. IIRC Origin ordinary divvies if any are usually paid around March and September.
