When I said that, tongue was firmly planted in cheek. ASIC are as useless now as they were before the Banking Royal Commission which tipped them a new one. Needs a complete clean out but to be honest all that would happen is the worker bees would still be the wooly jumper brigade, like most public servants.

Whilst not witnessing ASIC in action, we had an ATO audit years ago, spent the first 2 hours of the day taking them around the factory, next hour having a chat and cup of tee, then gave them some product samples which the gobbled up, took them for a 2 hour lunch at a nice restaurant, came back with a bottle of wine in each of them, they looked at the books for an hour then went back to the office and gave us a green tick. I'm sure ASIC workers would be similar.
