What this could represent is options held aside for employees which they can then purchase at an agreed price after a period of time. This is quite a common practice in many businesses where something like a three year employment anniversary allows you to access the first year's "allocation", the next anniversary allows you to access the next year's allocation etc. Effectively a tool to encourage staff to stay put.
Counting against that is the very round number of shares so who knows. All I'm saying is it might be nothing. Make of that gem what you will!
Glad I didn't get up this morning and think I'd liquidate my holding though. Just saying...
