To make it easy to understand, first talk about the number of dogs in each category shown in the announcement and only then talk about how many have reached the Stable Disease SD standard and its significance relative to the overall results. It is entirely possible that when finished, the study will fall short of the SD number they had set for themselves at the beginning but will still be considered a success. Why? Because, as they show in the announcement, the dogs with progressive disease PD are experiencing increased survival times comparable to the ones with stable disease SD.
