Dangerous words would be to speculate and compare what happened to copper 70 years ago to base as an investment decision in today's market.
Regardless, there were strategies to cap the prices back then as copper was crucial for military use as you say.
I don't see copper prices taking a moon shot rather a steady and prolonged rise as renewable energy will not just be here for a short duration of a few years like a war but rather a long long time maybe even beyond our time.
