"This time it is different" are dangerous words, commonly used when markets are topping. Like most people on HC I'd like Cu prices to rise too, I'm neck deep in junior ASX resource companies.

But context is important. One would have thought Cu prices would skyrocket during WW2 (think millions of brass artillery shells, not to mention millions of new vehicles & aircraft). If the inflation adjusted chart in the link above is correct, prices did NOT rise as greatly as one would have expected during WW2.

Will the new electric revolution see massive Cu price rises? I sure as hell hope so. But I really don't know!
