Im going to put this out there and happy to be ripped apart, im one of many who have a good chunk riding on it. Have been thinking about this for quite a while now and would appreaciate some feedback.
1) mnb has a mou with Angola to access 200mw of hydro power at ~1.2 cents US/kw
2) Angola has an abundance of green energy to sell
3) Angola has a stable and progressive govt committed to progress development
4)MNB has "done the hard yards" promoting early advances in green ammonia.
What security does mnb have, other than an mou, to this resource. If, say, fortescue comes in and is happy to offer the Angolan govt a significantly higer price(still well below green power prices elsewhere) what gives mnb first bite of the cherry. Alt. what would stop one of the "big boys" using this as leverage to capitalise on the pioneering work already completed by mnb, and squeezing the shit out them. Why deal with mnb when they can jump straight to the supplier??
Food for thought and would love to be shot down with tangible answers. My retirement plans are counting on it.
