Mitsubishi are looking to expand production at the moment (from their website) and highly unlikely to give up time on the wharf.
Toll treating would be a cheap option for MLM, would also solve the load out conundrum however an outcome I doubt will materialise.
MLM have experience with the options of barge load out from the previous bauxite / HMS project.
