GJT would probably love to get their hands on $57m AUD. I'd like to disclose that I hold a tiny position (in expectation that something like this was likely) that I recently bought worth less than $500.
IMAO To do this - they will need to makes a Rights issue. (BTW - I have NOT got inside information on this, and have not heard any rumours that this is happening - I am merely speculating!)
Something like 405m units means they need 14 cents per unit for about $57m AUD. This figure needs to be checked.
I'm supportive of them doing a rights issue offering where for every unit held they offer five units at (say) three cents each. They could also offer existing holders the right to apply for up to $5,000 or $15,000 worth. They will easily get an institution to underwrite the offer at such a low price - as it solves all their worries. The units would have an NTA backing slight less than 16 cents per unit (as there will be six times as many units).
I hope the institutions are holding some cash with the expectation that this will happen.
I also hope that management hurry up!
I'm sure a lot of HC holders hate the sound of my idea. However it is becoming unavoidable if they cannot realise some properties.
DYOR - and good luck to holders. If you sell out - maybe keep some to possibly participate in any capital raising.
