Thanks, SoConfused. Of course I see bot behaviour all over my portfolio. I agree with your suggestions: the way things are, retail holders are lambs to the slaughter. We can't sell one share at 4.10 pm to fiddle the apparent SP the following morning. I whinged about price manipulation here in particular because it is so extreme and has gone on for so long that it has frightened off genuine investors. Often (as today) there are no sales at all. I have contacted the company, which basically shrugged and said it couldn't control the share price; all it could do was make successful discoveries to pull the SP up. I also contacted the ASX, who told me it was none of their business and I should contact ASIC! I've done that too but don't expect any worthwhile reply.

We can only hope the company does make a spectacular find and the manipulators are run over in the rush to buy the shares.
