Just read this release and your post again after noticing the other day. The " 2H 2019" is our validation of the assay developed by T.H. expected 1st 1/2 of 2019. That's not the TH part giving 5 more working days ( after today). Read you post while stuck at work and did not get a chance to double check until today.
I hope all the really negative feeling did not prompt to many to bail out. Suspect most shares holder are reluctant to sell which is what is pushing up the price mostly. Today's rise is still only a nibble under a million $ in value making me wonder if its just a few who are now trying to get on before next Friday or as likely the the record date today is also a good reason or possibility to join the register today.
Be nice if I could be part of the underwriting for the CR. Be happy to take a few more than I will get. Love to be able to oversubscribe.
Mia Cula- I had thought BD1 might be happy to be swallowed by a major such as T.H. A Pfizer scientist visited me Wednesday. We were discussing the Hoovering up of so many companies by Pfizer and T.H. Interesting to note he had shares in C.S.L. one of my other favorite companies. He had not heard of Bard1 but promised to have a look for me. I was wrong and happy to be. The report clearly states ".. to advance the Company’s growth strategy" and "BARD1 aims to build a leading Australian cancer diagnostics company," and how it intends to do so. If a major wants to take us cheaply they might need to move fast. That is clearly not occurring today at least.
BD1 has been open and honest about its intention and progress. Share holders also voted to enable them to raise funds needed of course.
Just for fun I had a look at a 2007 government program which has almost eliminated cervical cancer in Australia. 2007 program cost $475.9 million over five years for vaccine costs, as well as a further $103.5 million over five years for program implementation costs. Link
The money for Australia only for HPV vaccine has now expanded to boys as well and is ongoing here and many other places all over the world. Government pay back is cervical smear costs have more than halved!
Clearly BD1 must get to "BARD1’s commercialisation strategy is to partner with certified laboratories to initially launch the BARD1 autoantibody tests as Laboratory Developed Tests (LDTs) in Australia and the USA to commence commercialisation and real-world product acceptance." and the next step " to develop and register In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) kits with the US FDA, Australian TGA and gain European CE-IVD marking to drive geographic expansion, clinical adoption, market acceptance and access."
If we do this the revenues made will/may make the 2007 numbers look tiny
"ultimately the aspiration of revenue generation, expanding the product pipeline, diversifying risk and growing long-term shareholder value." Is none a strategy none of us can fault.
Have a great weekend all
