I don't know about the "hugely negative posters that come up with any total crap", but I've been staying away for sure... primarily because of you in fact.
I was making a genuine effort to provide a balanced assessment of risks as well as opportunities. I was genuinely concerned that some of the unmitigated optimism being expressed here might lead some into unwise levels of exposure. Others also appeared to have genuine views that they had arrived at after careful reasoning, which they took the trouble to present so it could be considered and evaluated and commented on by others.
But you heaped scorn on my views. You called me a joke. Your treatment of me, and some others who appeared to be genuine, was variously nasty, snide, patronising, and quite offensive. You rudely brushed aside others' research, qualifications and reasoning. I, and may some of those others who are now quiet, have better ways to enjoy our lives.
So if your goal was a quiet, meekly agreeable and docile forum where your ideas are never challenged... congratulations!
