Information of timing of settlement of shares from the ASX website here https://www.asx.com.au/services/settlement/asx-settlement/how-settlement-works.htm On my analysis, the shares you 'bought' on the 7th settled (ownership transferred to you) on the 9th, and the sale of those on the 9th did not take place straight away, but two days later, so you could have still been on the share registry at 7pm on the 9th, but I'm not sure about this! I've previously had the same question in relation to a different share purchase plan and called the relevant company's share registry (eg Computershare) and they've been able to tell me if I was a holder on the record date and had an entitlement to the SPP.
