Really? Is that all you’re going on? What time they turn on and off?
I’ve seen plenty of times when the pricing has been over $200/MW and they’ve shut off. Actually the way things are shaping up today, you may even see the exact same thing happen tonight.. They’ll shut off at 9:30 p.m. regardless of the price. There’s been some attractive pricing in the mornings they haven’t captured either…
So…this is because they can’t have the gas. Still, slowly but surely they appear to be getting more. It’s been a great turn around since Oct./Nov. when they were only running a couple of hours a couple of days a week. Much steadier and longer now.
When they don’t have the gas, aim for the higher bids during the day. Nothing strange about that either.
That short period earlier in the year when they weren’t sending gas to Noble proof that TPS can and will run longer when the gas is available.
