if by 'pencilled in for the longer term' you mean 'not invested, but on the watchlist for the day they churn their first sod', then sure. Why not? No harm done.

as qdos put it so brilliantly above, is SVL exploring or developing? Is one a tactical risk mitigation given existential threats to the other?
i wasn't a holder last Friday but I was by Tuesday, entering again at 9.1, 9.2 and 9.3. the price escalation to 10.5 was equal parts surprising (that anyone would want to pay so much at this moment) and unsurprising (for SVL behaves in a surprising manner). The 8% pullback in two hours? Completely unsurprising.
so it may oscillate to 10.5 tomorrow, but possibly even better chance it'll be at 9.3. with SVL, every day is a spectacle.
again, I really want SVL to succeed. I'm not only pro mining, but the GF is ex NCM and I've spent a bit of time both at Cadia and around Orange. Mining has done wonders for the region, although i suspect Bowden's thinks this is all down to selling soy candles to Sydneysiders at the weekend artisan markets.
