Vision-Box deploys eGates at Hamad airport

Vision-Box announced that the Hamad International Airport in Qatar now has one of the most automated border control eGates at any airport in the world.

The NDIA Steering Committee contracted Vision-Box to supply ABC eGates, which were specifically designed to meet the HIA performance and strict design requirements.

The 62 vb i-match eGates are already being used at HIA, operated by Vision-Box’s front-end border control application, the vb inspector.

The eGates are integrated with the advanced identity management infrastructure of the Ministry of the Interior of the State of Qatar, which ensures the highest levels of security and efficiency.

The multimodal capabilities allow airport officials to use face, iris and fingerprint as biometric identifiers, ensuring that the border is secure, efficient, and passenger-friendly.

Previously reported, Vision-Box and Biometric Solutions signed a four-year contract with the Danish government for biometric-based solutions and components for both enrollment and automated border control.
