Yep good point, but it does depend on the terms of the agreement. For example, they may have something ready made or near ready made, which means they are really just hosting the HW integration & iterative testing. They say its the dev of the chip, but surely they will have done this before to some extent (insert @Flectional advice here) would be my guess. To my earlier point, we saw no comments around what Infineon would gain as a 'partner' from the results of this process, whats more this may be because they have already an agreeement with WD sub HGST
