i suspect part of it has been successful BUT they can't get a read on it - that should have been announced - there is data available and if it was subject to design contract negotiation it was possibly held back
that is however no excuse

either way Infineon are customising a memory macro platform without comprehensive data - it is not an off the shelf adjustment - but rather 'specifically designed' - for a yet to be successfully manufactured and functional 20nm ( to contract 60nm in this way is pointless commercially as there are far better solutions on that node ie far more cost effective)

plenty of justified emotion due to all the smoke and mirrors - some punters twigged it a few months back when they noticed these guys all coming off different pages
