Mate, I think you're actually over simplifying his buying/selling a bit as well.

Options get exercised, we end up with a bit more cash in the kitty (which I agree is positive, but it's not all positive), DM incurs no cost or risk no further capital (sell down current holding to pay for option exercised), some of this cash actually ends up back in his own pocket, shareholders are diluted. Who bares the cost? Not DM, he's net zero. We do.

Roughly DM got 3m shares for free based on your post above, is this aligned to current shareholders who risk their hard earned cash? I'd say no. If he exercised with no sell down, different story, a very positive different story.

If you gave me 3m shares for free I would ride this boat with not a worry in the world - if the price goes up YAY if it goes down 'YAY WHO CARES'.

Now, if DM puts in the yards to get us to the $1bn market cap he's been throwing around, then the above is all good and well. I'm unfortunately just not seeing it, especially with what we witnessed last week, and continue to witness - no announcement, no intervention, nothing. From my point of view, all I'm seeing is someone who got something for free and behaving like that. We need a big step up from the man in charge.
