Ok. There is understandably a great amount of anger on here. What should have been rewarded as encouraging news by the market – to have Germany's largest semiconductor manufacturer Infineon Technologies (2023 sales of €16.3 billion) designing a Macro for 4DS Memory, albeit tempered by the unavoidable extension of the timeline to market-readiness, was fumbled badly in how the information has been disclosed with an aborted capital raise. The BOD ultimately announced the failed raise as not being in the best interests of shareholders. The result has been a massive depreciation of the share price, almost halving the company's previously beleaguered Market Cap which is jeopardising further capital raising.
This is an epic failure. Many on here are venting their frustration and describing this, not as an isolated act of mismanagement, but a pattern of actions by the chairman that have not been in the best interests of shareholders. Therefore there is demand for an EGM with the suggestion that the chairman step down. How much demand is there?
