Diamonds were the test sats, I would imagine by the time the constellation is up and running they will be well and truly obsolete. The pearls are the sats designed for revenue making, while the diamonds were purely for testing and demonstration, wouldnt make much sense having old tech in a new constellation. I would refer the an announcement from a few years ago stating the anticipated life of the nano sats, and how they are planning to upgrade the constellation throughout the extended launch timetable.
