Nickel sulfide mineralisation occurs as relatively narrow but high-grade occurrences in both the magmatic style (Fraser Range) and komatiite-associated (Kambalda) deposits. Often ribbon-like geometries with a long axis.
The catch with the DHEM is that it will mainly detect the pyrrhotite occurrence, which contains sporadic nickel-sulfide. It is a tool for detecting conductors, not nickel concentration. The process of better defining where the high-grade Nickel is situated will take time through more drilling and good geological work.
