Carrier deployment progress and performance
Highlights:
Full integration of the Syntonic Connected Services Platform has been achieved with mobile
operators in Vietnam, Ghana, and Kenya, including local telco carriers of MTN and Vodafone
Groups, with deployments expected in the September quarter
New operator engagements have commenced with leading carriers in Turkey, South Africa,
Philippines, Oman, and Indonesia
Continued strong growth in Freeway’s global installed base in April 2018, with +7.5% month-on-
month reaching 34.1 million smartphones
Seattle, United States – Syntonic Limited (“Syntonic” or “Company”) (SYT.ASX), a mobile
platform and services provider, is pleased to provide an update on the Company’s business activities
and product deployment progress.
With support from the Company’s regional partners and licensees, Syntonic has completed integration
and testing of the Syntonic Connected Services Platform in the following operator networks: Viettel
in Vietnam, Vodafone Ghana, MTN Ghana, and Safaricom in Kenya. Commercial deployments are
anticipated by a number of these carriers for the upcoming quarter.
Furthermore, Syntonic is executing on its significant operator sales pipeline, which includes leading
carriers in Turkey, South Africa, Philippines, Oman, and Indonesia. Syntonic will keep the market
informed of all commercial launches and updates to the carrier pipeline.
These deployments will contribute to Syntonic’s Systems business with revenue streams generated
from revenue sharing and royalties associated with the licensing of white-labelled Freeway platform
technologies.
The Company has accomplished another strong month of growth in the global installed base of
Freeway enabled smartphones.
Freeway’s global installed base grew month-on-month by +7.5% in April 2018 to reach 34.1 million
smartphones, with the majority of growth continuing to be driven by the Freeway SDK preinstall on Android devices.
Looking ahead, the Company remains on target with its expected Freeway installed base growth, anticipating Freeway expansion in the Middle East, Central Europe, Sub-Saharan Africa, and Southeast Asia.
