I thought the FIRB would take a much longer, more detailed look at this - very disappointing.
Easy now for CASA China to produce 5G hardware in Guangzhou, ship it to Australia, and install it in the Australian Telecommunications network, which makes a mockery of the government's ban on Huawei.
It seems that there is always a way around these regulations.
And the politicians don't care at the moment, they are all out compaigning, and looking after themselves.
"Casa Systems has notched another win in the percolating Chinese cable market, securing a deal to supply cable modem termination systems to Beijing Gehua CATV Network"
The Vice President and Chairman of Beijing Gehua CATV Network is a member of the Communist Party of China, and the Beijing Communist Party.
And so it goes on.
It does not (on the surface of it anyway) look like the FIRB delve too deeply into these relationships, even if they are given the information, but maybe they did and just saw everything as ok - who knows?
