For the scheme of arrangement to be implemented it needs approval by:
- 75% of the total number of shares held by the shareholders that participate in the vote, and
- 50% of the number of shareholders that participate (in person or by proxy).
Small shareholders carry just as much weight as the big guys in the second hurdle. Make sure you vote people!
