At that level, it brings the company closer to the $1 billion tech "unicorn" status enjoyed by the likes of Atlassian, though the cash burn rate is high and it could be some time before iflix is profitable. A future float could be an option and increase the amount of investors but for now Grove is keeping iflix in private hands.
I dont know about other people but I am tired of seeing huge valuations for companies that churn through the cash, and here we are struggling to hold the SP above $1.50. lol...
Anyway perhaps that might change when we get an update on OS operations.
The biggest risk factor was could they replicate the model overseas, well it looks as though they have put that myth to Bed so no stopping this to $1B + Market cap IMO
Not sure if they would have competitors in Aussie market now as the horse has well and truly bolted with 3 years under their belt.
I would love to see them do a small raise around $2.50-$3 to put another $25M-$30M in the bank to ram home this first mover advantage over there $30-$40 million would give them a massive kickstart to roll this out across another 10-15 states in the US.
The model is so simple and the key is the content and they have monetised it.
Cheers
