Manganese price starting to rally.
CRU’s Manganese Market Outlook, published Friday 21th October 2016, reports on the recent price rally in both the manganese ore and ferroalloy industries. Consultant Dorit Schulte writes “The impact of production cuts earlier in the year are properly starting to affect the market now, with alloy producers in China struggling to source material.
A 12 month low of $1.49 to $1.85 us/kg for manganese
Around 23% price rise in less than 10 months after coming well off the $3.50 high 4 years ago
With fewer suppliers now given several producers pulled out or failed financially.
Could be the next sector to do a zinc or lithium type run .
