Thanks for clarifying. I knew they had done a fair bit in the NRL, but must have got the 'league wide' bit confused with another league.
Any clues how much revenue is generated from commercial data? I can't imagine it'd be much given they are pretty 'data lite'at present. I think the only thing we see in the AFL is total distance covered. I think its baby steps while the players/players associations and clubs get used to the idea. My rudimentary understanding is that players associations are a bit concerned about players being targeted for having poor numbers so they are limiting it to stuff like 'top 5 players for total distance covered'. You can imagine where 'bottom 5 for total distance' would lead the fan base.
Good to see they are tied up for 3 years wth potential for another 2, and the additional teams and refs this deal brings.
