If GAL decides to mine their sulphide zone at Mt T the laterite ore would need to be removed. Could this create the possibility of a JV between both laterite ore bodies?
GSR/CNJ laterite's contain 23,688t of Co and 101,520t of Ni.
GAL ..Mt T, Mission sill and Goblin laterites contain 26,600 t Co and 122,500t Ni.
If the JV are serious about an HPAL plant I hope a metallurgist with a background in HPAL is employed soonish. I get a little nervous when geo's get involved in milling/refining.AIMO.
