    UBS is regularly involved in takeovers eg Nylex recently , they take stakes prior to something happening .OthersComm & Barklays were probably just reducing their stake & risk profile .That is they don't want a huge hole in the accounts .Macbank was a concern quitting 5 per cent completely.
