I would have liked a special dividend instead of an off market buyback... Even though I've held CBA for 18+ years I'm only 40 so I've still got a lot of time to let this grow and accumulate more. The buyback is an awesome tax break but I don't personally need the cash either. I would have used the special dividend to buy more CBA anyway. This buyback is not for me... can't win them all.
Well done LT holders. I really enjoy sitting back and watching the feeding fenzy in the SP lately. It's a good feeling after all the negativity the last few years... Covid, Royal Commision (Although I did enjoy Orr on that one, powerful women is Kryptonite), Remedial actions, low NIMs etc. The list is long the past few years and If you still hold CBA after all of that you deserve a well earned congrats...
