On a cash basis, Funds 2&3 invested A$9.6 million in the CBA investment and sold a 20% interest
for A$7.5 million in June 2022 (refer to Omni Bridgeway’s ASX announcement of 30 June 2022),
resulting in a net A$2.1 million cash loss on the investment.
The carrying value of the investment was A$11.8 million at 31 March 2024 (representing the
residual 80% interest of Funds 2&3 inclusive of capitalised internal costs) and will be impaired as
a result of the Judgment
They need to be better with their decisions going off their initial investment back 6 years ago though they've appeared to make bank and removed a lot of risk with the 20% sale.
The share price is not due to this judgement.
