Therefore, like they have said all along, the CDP is a demonstration of upscaling and commercial process rather than profitability. It was never meant to be economic and that's always been the case.
It would most likely become economic at 2500tpa and above, as the staffing levels would be the same, and economies of scale improve the plant numbers. Also less intervention in controls and maintenance as a maintenance and operations philosophy is designed, weeding out the tasks not required and process improvements.
CDP is a process proving ground. Not a business case.
