Woodside and Hazer do have history. They were original supporters and a substantial shareholder in Hazer's early years. I held Woodside and had high hopes that they would adopt the Hazer technology. Unfortunately they sold out of Hazer, around 2018 if I recall correctly. This is not particularly unusual as they are noted as giving many small start ups a leg up. Our previous CEO, Geoff Ward was an ex Woodside executive. I had further hopes that this might lead to a partnership, but maybe Geoff wasn't on good terms with Woodside as he made out. Also, Woodside have largely moved into the greenwashing space without demonstrating serious genuine moves to decarbonise their business. Rather, they have done just enough to appear to making big moves and sufficient to pick up lucrative government carbon credits. I lost patience with Woodside and sold about 12 months ago.
Their grey hydrogen Perth plant plans to go blue with carbon capture, but at 10 tons of CO2 for every ton of hydrogen, even if they manage to capture their targeted 85%, which is doubtful, , that still leaves 15%, which would be 1/2 ton of CO2 for every ton of H2 produced., not a particularly clean process.
