If you are going to be accounting for the emmissions yes of course. Right now, nobody cares about what rainbow colour the hydrogen is. They just want to see it being made by Hazer in continuous operation at scale. The colours are irrelevant right now and I doubt there will be much reference to it when they finally make the announcement.
They will care when they are selling this technology that works though.
They said methane, because that's the reaction. CH4 to H2 and solid graphite. Ch4 is methane, the intricacies of it aren't a focus right now.
