Hey S64, I don't think that your interpretation is quite correct, I have read the document and it does not categorically exclude the bio-gas feedstock. Arena even has a segment on the Hazer process on their website. Whilst I believe that it is important to keep governments onside and get funding support, I believe Hazer still has a more than commercially viable product if it achieves the expected outputs and this alone is sufficient for the company to succeed.
"Projects considering using electricity from a bioenergy production method will need to demonstrate that the
feedstock is considered renewable as per Section 17 of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Act 2000 (Cth) and Division 2.2 of the Renewable
Energy (Electricity) Regulations 2001 (Cth) and that the Project can deliver the minimum scale proposed under the Program."
