Any idea how long did it take to build a Heat exchanger that failed? Because most likely they go back to square one with re design, approval process (weld procedures, testing, etc) and find company and time frame who will build a new one...
P.S Heat treatment is one of the Final steps in Manufacturing, so all previous hard work is lost due to failure
