250 micron is a quarter of a mm, much the same grain size as table salt. This is a little finer than I would have suggested but from what you say they are getting substantial recovery with a single pass. This is good news, especially the idea of running a small plant in the short term. A single crush also means they could effect the gravity separation with an old fashioned Wilfley table which they could probably obtain more easily than a wave table.
If you are in contact with the company, perhaps you could suggest they announce when they have started sourcing the equipment for this plant. Some of the equipment such as the crusher, is likely to have long lead times. I recall their "neighbour" GDR getting excited about the purchase of a second hand, refurbished crusher.
