Check out this company a competitor of ours. They are an airtime and bill paying app in latin America. Good thing is they have 1M+ downloads so shows their is a market for this sort of thing and they also don't service all the countries we do so shows there is gaps that we are getting to straight away. Nice enough app but don't see the discounts that we are offering, not sure if they have direct relationship with the telcos (they have a few, not just movistar) or go through an intermediary like all the others do (usually Transferto).
They actually market themselves to users within LAtin America (not just to relos overseas). Their selling point is they say they will save you the 20mins+ it can take to stand in line to pay a bill, do it on your phone instead in 10 seconds. So another good opp for us to get onto Latin American smart phone users phones.
