Maybe it is more about getting permission rather than the actual road building , there is a track from Dalgaranga down to Mt Magnet on the maps and it looks all flat , the roads are functional as dry weather roads (rainfall is probably no more than 250 mm a year ) as just very wide grader blade formed tracks using the existing red earth subsoil for material , there is no base course used maybe that is because there is no heap leach operations in the area ?
Going North East from Dalgaranga towards Cue (where WGX have a mill ) there looks to be two small line of hills that need to be bypassed or cut through .
I have not been East of Cue so just looking at it from google etc , poster Wassa has been in the area so maybe could give a more detailed account .

GCY did some met tests , a couple of months back , the silica did cause more wear (guessing on liners) but the drop of in throughput was somewhere around only 10 to 15% from memory sp went up after the news
A canadian company Monument also has a mill East of Cue , think a company called Odyssey has first dibs on it . North of Meekatharra is what is left of the Andy well plant , the mill has been removed though , but CIL tanks still there etc its probably only somewhere around 400 ktpa . There was another CIL mill West of Cue but I think its dilapidated .
