The north east track to GCY looks windey as you say thru some hills.
My real question was who in the area is setting themselves up for a longer term milling exercise aka-meaning similar to NST business model with long life feed and who isn't.

Agree there are always issues with getting road access let alone building or needing wet weather access where it isn't normally a problem but if it is it can kill a business desperate for cash flow unless they have massive stockpiles actually at their mills. GCY doesn't anymore and if its going to restart relying on trucking ore from anywhere is feed vulnerable.
NST mined Paulsens for around 4 months building stockpiles ahead of the plant restart before buying it.
Lack of a sealed road was the final nail for ARRIUM. 2 months trucking and train contractors paid for shipping nothing to port plus around $150m profit foregone at then pricing with no chance of catchup shipping due to its rail access.
By the time they had built their sealed $7m?(17m?)road to the railhead after outlaying many $100's of borrowed millions for that part of their business the IO price had collapsed.
The rest a bitter memory for their shareholders.
