I could be mistaken but I think that the table only shows transactions after HML became a substantial (>5%) holder. This would account for the additional 7,216,728 shares sold.
Assuming this is correct, we don't know what the first 7,216,728 were purchased at. But the remaining 1,293,544 were purchased at an average of $2.42 and the entire holding was sold at an average of $3.50 per share. Going by this table we can estimate for a tidy profit of around $9.2M.
The interesting thing is that these figures don't accurately reflect the share price history of SIO, which is more in line with Bamby's post.
My background is IT, not finance, but I'm thinking this means that HML was shorting SIO.
