On 17th Feb, when MEL issued its top 20 notification, it advised MAY's holding at 108,084,384 shares or 27.67% of total Mel issue.
Yet earlier, on the 14th Feb' MAY had issued an Appendix 2A advising the issue of 434,582,340 new shares consequent of the 4:1 T/O offer.
A simple division of that number by 4 = 108,645,585 MEL shares accepted during the offer period. There is therefore an apparent discrepancy of 561,201 MEL shares on Mel's top 20 list or alternatively, an over issue of 2,244,804 MAY shares. Of course there may be some late transfers being processed but the MEL top 20 figure is still less than the figure advised by MAY to MEL on the 31st Jan of 108,610,738 (timed about 6 hrs before closure of the offer. I sent an email to MAY on 18th Feb advising my observations but have not yet received a response. Hopefully it is just a bit of tardy processing by someone in either company, IMO and DYOR. Cheers!
