Shorts are about 1 % and slowly moving down. I bought a parcel of CPU because it was looking oversold. Time will tell.
The CGF holding in CPU is around 5% - in floats in and out of the 5% limit for substantial shareholder notifications.
Shorters are part of a market. They generally do more research than most, but have no more ability to take investors for a ride than people going long.
