He is a former research man, research analysts are typically poor at governance, risk and compliance. Where did SRX have its problems with GW? Governance, risk and compliance. Nigel Lange IMHO needs to offload Darren Smith and Thomas Duthy once suitable replacements are found.
The recent disclosures, buyback halts and nonsense indicate Smith, now company secretary as well as CFO, and Duthy are out of their depth. Even HC commentators have spotted this so the whole market could figure it out.
Executive needs to be beefed up let alone the Board IMHO but pls DYOR. Morningstar will continue carrying on about stewardship and management until it does.
