Whilst the above quote from the ABC article is not profound, it is certainly as true for Kalgoorlie as a locality as it is for the state of WA, indeed for our entire nation & the globe. It is a primary reason I initially invested in PET, then subsequently in EVS.
However, as the PET experience has shown (currently a tragedy for its shareholders), the success of a company seems to relate more to its MANAGEMENT than the fact that its product(s) &/or service(s) are aligned with a universal/absolute necessity.
Whislt PET & EVS used to share a Director, he is no no longer on either board. Since his departure from EVS I am more confident regarding the Board's oversight of & involvement with EVS Management.
The well-worn mantra with Real-Estate ... LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION ... could be astutely paraphrased for Equity-Investment ... MANAGEMENT-MANAGEMENT-MANAGEMENT.
EVS Management seem to be doing a good job - let's hope that remains the case!
