Hi synaphai, imho also, shareholders nor BOD would accept a ‘low’ offer, also bear in mind the first offer is not usually the last one.
BOD spruiking of the company’s worth is just that, the ‘internal’ valuation was what one year ago?, and with the comment that one billion would not be enough to buy the company. Does it have a basis or not at this time and in the immediate future, I would hazard a guess and say NO.
I do think RIs will overestimate the value of a company, this is with little knowledge of the realities of bringing IP to a successful commercialisation. Our opinion is directly connected and influenced by BOD spiel and IP that is put forward as being furthered advanced than it is, significantly so.
Actual company worth at this time would be what?, fairly valued perhaps …. or not?
If an offer of say, one billion was made, would it be a fair offer to Shareholder’s?…. and still good buying for a third party, bearing in mind this is a product still many years from completion and with no 100% guarantee of ‘making it’ and the expenses in the interim.
Of those ‘hundreds’ of similar outfits in a similar position, ten out one hundred may make it.
That the MC has held up ‘alright’ I would say is a fair comment, though it is being continually increased thru further dilution via a placement every 9 months. rather than positive sentiment, let alone running ahead of itself.
That the everyday day sp is not a concern is a serious miscalculation, it should be a huge concern.
For the incumbent first movers that spend in the hundreds of millions in R&D not to be making an offer anytime soon should beg the question of WHY.
The next CR at current levels will further mire Anteris in its current situation, and very likely to see the continuation of the Ann of becoming and ceasing to be a major holder.
Not much to break thru this cycle except for a offer for the company to finally come thru.
Imho.
