    Mitsubishi hold accounts operated by many different entities: Citibank, JP Morgan, NAB, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, etc. Those entities seem to be trading dips and pips. High volume + low margin = lotsa dough + big changes in % held. Also, they loan shares to short traders in large chunks, which could also contribute to moving across the 5% threshold. It's also quite possible that Mitsubishi might influence trading by sending messages (e.g. "shorters borrowing shares, good time to sell").

    They're making a motza by using volume to create trading opportunities; much more than just sitting there staring at their holdings.
