Who is to say he isn't a destressed seller? We can't possibly know his personal circumstances. He could have a pile of personal debt, margin loans, looking to purchase a property with immediate terms etc etc or just be looking to crystallise his position in terms of estate planning and retirement. Not to mention there could be an illness which you would obviously hope is not the case. We should never presume to know the personal circumstances of people and their motives.

What I do know is that an investor has taken a big slice of 9m shares at a significant premium to the market price. If they thought the share price would continue to flounder then they would have taken their chances and purchased on market. Obviously by securing it this way they believe there will be significant pressure on the supply side in coming trading days to secure such a parcel.
