@G650er - thanks mate, happy to share a bit of knowledge. Ag is not built on 1 season and I'm not investing for the short term; the top-up is definitely with a long-term increase in results in mind. Growers will always have good and bad seasons; if nothing changes 2018 won't be one of the good ones. However, it will rain again at some point and the graincorp infrastructure is crucial to a lot of growers when they harvest, so I believe there is intrinsic value there. I find, even with bluechips like GNC, it pays to buy them when their price is down. As long as I believe in their intrinsic value and business model, I am comfortable to make money in the long run - however bleak the short term seems.
@cowcockie - I'm 50K south of Bellata so know what it's like for them and a lot of others; I sincerely hope for decent rain soon.
